Mac Seat'Em is the SLV acclaimed shareware seating charts maker from Boomeria Softworks. It quickly and easily uses the rosters in Gradebook Plus to make your seating charts in any arrangement you choose. The print-outs are magnificent. You choose the fonts and sizes and how you want the names to appear on your charts. You may include squares for attendance and tardies.
Students may be moved and exchanged with the mouse. When you want a completely new seating chart, you may choose the Randomize or Alphebetize option to scramble the kids.
If you are not yet using Gradebook Plus, you may use the enclosed ROSTER MASTER or import rosters from TEXT files saved from another program. (The format is "Last, First" <CR> or <TAB>).
Mac Drill is the super-fun, shareware (high tech review) game that our science department uses on a regular basis. It will randomly call upon the kids by displaying their names in large font on the computer screen. Review lists may be entered into the computer in advance. The computer will then display a question and then call upon a student to answer it.
Mac Drill also can be used to randomly select project, cooperative learning, or lab groups of kids. They don't argue with "Lord Apple".

If you are not already using Gradebook Plus, copy this whole disk either onto your hard drive or make a backup copy of this disk to use independently.
If you are already using either an older Macintosh version or an Apple II version of Gradebook Plus, see the manual for installation help. You can transfer your existing class rosters and scores into the new program.
This Formula Club game is an interactive program for practicing chemical symbols and formulas with teacher-edited ions and comments for student responses.
Hereﾕs how the game works:
The Macintosh randomly generates chemical formulas from the ion list saved in the program. The name of the formula is displayed in large font so several kids can participate. The student types in and enters the formula.
If the answer is correct, a ﾒcorrect answerﾓ comment is randomly selected from the ﾒpraisesﾓ list and the next question is asked.
If the answer is incorrect, a comment is selected from the ﾒwrong answers (teases)ﾓ list. The correct answer is then displayed so that the students can see what was wrong, and then the correct answer must be entered before continuing to the next question.
After ten formulas have been done, the score is given and another set may be done.
The FORMULA CLUB EDITOR is the program used by the teacher to add, delete, or change the comments or ions used by the game. We use the traditional notation for ions placing the + or - before the charge number (Al+3) so that the computer will know when to sub/superscript it. Without the + or -, numerals are automatically subscripted. The student does not have to hassle with any scripting.
Much fun is had when the comments are school or class ﾒin-jokesﾓ that the students can relate with.
The program also prints beautiful study sheets made from the ions list.
